Sidekick Tech Pty Ltd (ABN 32 659 575 738) trades as SidekickMobile and operates the website at sidekickmobile.com.au plus our retail store at Shop 10/354 Mons Rd, Forest Glen QLD 4556. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
2. Information we collect
We may collect the following personal information:

- Repair & service details: device make, model, IMEI/serial number, fault description.
- Payment details: processed securely by our payment provider (Shopify Payments / Stripe / Afterpay). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Order history: products purchased, repair history.
- Website analytics: IP address, browser type, pages visited, referrer URL.
3. How we collect it
- Directly when you place an order, request a quote, drop off a device, or contact us.
- Automatically via cookies and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Shopify analytics, Meta Pixel) when you use our website.
- From third parties when you pay via Afterpay, ZIP, or similar buy now, pay later services.
4. How we use it
We use your information to:
- Process repairs, sales and refunds.
- Contact you about quotes, completed repairs, or shipping updates.
- Provide customer support and respond to warranty claims.

- Service providers: Shopify (e commerce), Australia Post / [SHIPPING CARRIER] (shipping), Xero (accounting), Mailchimp / Klaviyo (email marketing), Stripe / Afterpay (payments).

- Professional advisors: our lawyers, accountants and auditors under confidentiality.
Some of these providers store data overseas (United States, Europe). They are contractually required to protect your data to a standard at least equivalent to the APPs.

Where we hold your device for repair, we treat the contents as confidential and only access stored data where strictly necessary to diagnose or test the fault. We strongly recommend backing up your device before drop off. We do not retain copies of your personal device data after the repair is complete.
7. How long we keep your data
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal obligations (typically 7 years for tax purposes). When no longer required, we securely delete or de identify the data.
8. Cookies & tracking
