1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of services and products provided by Sidekick Tech Pty Ltd (ABN 32 659 575 738), trading as SidekickMobile. By placing a repair order, purchasing a refurbished device or otherwise transacting with us, you agree to these Terms.
2. Our services
SidekickMobile provides:
- Mobile phone, tablet and laptop repairs.
- Sales of refurbished smartphones and accessories.
- Trade in and buy back services for used devices.
- Data transfers and device diagnostics.
Service availability, pricing and turnaround times are estimates and may change without notice. We will confirm the final scope and price before commencing work.
3. Repair orders
- Diagnosis & Approval: No repair work commences until you have approved the quote provided by our technicians.
- Backup Your Data: You are responsible for backing up your device prior to drop off. We are not liable for any data loss that occurs during diagnosis or repair.
- Parts & Grade Choice: We use a mix of OEM and high quality aftermarket parts. Before any repair begins we disclose every part grade available for your device, with the price for each option. You choose the grade that suits your budget and we proceed with that selection.
- Locked Or Dead Devices: If a device is passcode locked or cannot be powered on we may be unable to complete a full diagnostic. In that case we will repair only the fault you have reported and cannot be held responsible for unrelated functions that may not work after the repair.
- Existing Damage: Pre existing damage (water, board damage, prior third party repairs) may not be detectable until repair is attempted and can affect the outcome and pricing.
- Inherent Risk Of Disassembly: Most modern devices are glued together and require heat to separate. There is an inherent risk that plastic or glass may flex or break during disassembly. By approving a repair you accept this risk. Repairs may also void any remaining manufacturer warranty.
- Unclaimed Devices: Devices left for more than 90 days after repair completion will be treated as abandoned and may be sold or recycled to recover costs.
4. Special order parts
Some repairs and accessories require parts that we do not normally keep in stock. For these special orders we require full payment up front to cover the cost of sourcing the part. Special order items are non refundable once ordered. If a special order part is unavailable or arrives faulty we will refund or replace that specific part in line with the Australian Consumer Law.
5. Refurbished device sales
- All refurbished devices are graded according to our Grading Guide.
- All of our devices are unlocked from carrier networks and have iCloud or Google accounts removed before sale.
- Cosmetic condition descriptions are best effort and may include variation within grade.
6. Pricing & payment
Prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) inclusive of GST. We accept cash, EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay. Payment is required in full before a repaired or purchased device is released.
7. Shipping & pickup
Local pickup is available free of charge from Shop 10/354 Mons Rd, Forest Glen QLD 4556. Australia wide shipping is offered via Aus Post with tracking. Estimated delivery times are 2 to 5 business days but are not guaranteed. Risk of loss passes to you on dispatch; we recommend insured shipping for high value orders.
8. Warranty & returns
Warranty and return rights for both repairs and refurbished device sales are covered in our Returns & Warranty Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits any non excludable rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SidekickMobile's liability for any claim arising out of repair or sale is limited to, at our option, replacement or repair of the goods or service, or refund of the amount paid. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss including lost data, lost profits or lost opportunity.
10. Intellectual property
All content on this website (logos, graphics, product photos, copy) is owned by SidekickMobile or used under licence. You may not reproduce or republish content without prior written permission.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The current version is always published on this page with the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of our services after a change indicates acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland,
Australia. Any dispute will be heard
in the courts of Queensland.
